Mountain film was worth the 11hr trip! The views, the films, the connections you had with the awesome crowd of adventurers. We hiked with national geographic and their team of photographers who travel around the world. I met krystle Wright & had fun talking with her. You can't forget how amazing the food was!! Everywhere we ate in this town was very good
The view alone was worth the trip. Best, kick ass fest in the West. Thank you to all Mountainfilm staff and volunteers for creating such an incredible gathering. Just re-shaped my fest strategy for next year... -Skye
I recently exhibited at Mountainfilm and was blown away by the entire experience. From the natural landscape, film screenings, art walks, to festival events, Telluride quickly became a place I will visit for the rest of my life. David Holbrooke and his team not only present a diverse selection to attendees but endless social outlets, indoors and outdoors, that keep you engaged throughout the weekend. Overall, Mountainfilm and Telluride will leave you inspired as an artist and planning your next visit.
Days of fantastic films and enriching activities, enjoyed with awesome chat you up on the street people from around the globe, all taking place amongst breathtaking scenery. Best film festival I've been to, no question. The whole thing being capped off with a one of a kind party in a mine where everything seems to be on fire and flinging sparks and you are surrounding by a familiar gang of enthusiastic and friendly people. I will for sure be marking it on my calendar as an annual pilgrimage.
2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016. I've been inspired. I've been challenged. I've seen the world through at least a 100 different sets of eyes. But most importantly I've been in Telluride, CO one of the most spectacular places on earth 6 times over Memorial day weekend which is the best time of year, in my opinion. Try it for yourself ASAP!
We were delighted that David and team invited us to have our US Premiere of The Age of Consequences at Mountainfilm this year. There is a warm and collective spirit of locals, filmmakers, film enthusiasts, adventurers, artists - that make Mountainfilm a truly special place to experience independent film.
Who wouldn't want to be nestled in the mountains watching films all day and talking to amazing people when walking around town? The festival was heaven and the people who attend --filmgoers and fellow filmmakers--are inspiring. I hope to come back again and again. The pressure is on for me to make another film and get into the festival!!
I've premiered two of my films here and it's hands down the best film festival in the nation, perhaps the world.
