After banking exclusively with Mountain West Bank for over 10 years, they decided to suggest we part ways—right after placing a hold on a check I needed to keep my business running. This was the first time I ever lost money because a bank held my funds. To make it even more ridiculous, the check they placed a hold on was given back to me as a cashier’s check when I came in to close my accounts. I have never used a more difficult bank in my life. They randomly cancel and freeze debt cards, then none of the locations have weekend lobby hours to get a new card. I would never do any of my personal banking with any of the Glacier Bancorp subsidiary banks.
Very professional team. My business was hacked on Facebook and I had $5,300 taken from my debit card. The staff at the Village at Meridian office (I believe a young lady named Erica assisted me) was able to get the ball rolling so I received full restitution from the team at the regional office in Sandpoint, ID. Big banks like Bank of America (who are building Boise offices) DO NOT give you this kind of assistance.
I have banked personally with mtn west for 16 years. I have banked commercially with them for 7 years. Against my better judgment I keep trying to do my business deposits at this location because it’s the closest to my business. It routinely takes double the length of time + at this location to do simple deposits. Today I waited for 30 minutes! Save yourself the trouble and use ANY other location. I’ll stick with the 9th st downtown location. I’m in and out within 10 mins at most every single time!
They always go above and beyond to help us. Even with the drama they just keep helping. I will always stay with this branch
