Call the Attorney General if you have similar complaints. Billing dept is outsourced and are using fraudulent practices. The statement says finance charges are "per annum" (yearly) while they are charging per month. You can avoid this charge by paying a minimum that they do not tell you until you complain. One agent says one thing, while another agent says something else. A complaint has been filed with the BBB and Attorney Generals office.
If I could give these guys zero stars, I would. They insist I should pay my portion of the bill twice. That’s after sending the bill to collections shortly after I received the initial bill. Collection agency was able to figure out the charge was a duplicate, sent it back to them, which they sent back to collections again. Talking to them has been a nightmare. They put me to sleep, then ghosted me. No invoice, no account and the 801 number sent me to the Phillipines. The agent said there was no way I could phone the Sandy location directly. I guess they don't want to get paid. Again, I'm having this same situation with Utah providers. Doctors are great (I had a good experience with the Anesthesiologist), but trying to get any billing information is impossible. Worst customer service in health care and that's saying something. They get paid by insurance the contracted amount. As a customer, I paid my portion through insurance up to my deductable. I showed them the receipts, they still keep hasseling me for what they WANT rather than what they DESERVE. Healthcare is all about the money now, they don't care about ethics anymore. Mountain West Anesthesia is hands-down one of the most unprofessional, incompetent billing operations I’ve ever dealt with. They failed to bill my insurance correctly for a procedure that was supposed to be covered at 100%. I contacted them repeatedly over five months, was told multiple times that my insurance would be rebilled and the issue corrected, and then—surprise—it never was.
