Where do I even begin? We took my infant son to Mountain West Hospital (which was our first mistake, but another story) where they told us we needed to be transferred to Primary Children's Hospital by ambulance. The ambulance and EMT's were great. The billing department sucks. Out -of-network surprise. Already hit our out of pocket maximum so I thought we were good. Then got hit with a 2500 dollar ambulance ride for a one mile ride.

Blatant Liars! This company told us that the ambulance ride would be covered by our insurance! We already hit our family max out of pocket of $10,000. We get an additional surprise bill for $2,898.67 which is the exact amount Cigna discounted through their plan. THEY ARE BALANCE BILLING US!! They didn't even drive with their lights or sirens on, we could have made it faster to the hospital with an Uber! All Utahn's need to spread the word they have the right to refuse ambulance rides!!
