5 stars for MSAA and their amazing instructor Lindsey M. I did AST-1 in Whistler. The classroom portion was extremely well-presented and interesting. The field day was amazing! I was suuuuuuper anxious and also forgot my skins (d’oh) but Lindsey was so kind, supportive, and incredible. She ensured I was still able to do the companion rescue so that I could earn my cert, despite my embarrassing goof. I felt safe and inspired by her commitment to being a good backcountry traveller. I took the Intro to Splitboarding course on Saturday and it was such an amazing experience! My guide, Lindsay was such a knowledgable instructor. She gave us so many useful tips to make dealing with new equipment easy. I was happy to have left the course confident to use splitboard gear in the backcountry, which I didn't anticipate being able to do so quickly. I am looking forward to taking my AST 1 with MSAA next trip out here! Thank you Lindsay!
I had an amazing experience with the AST1 course in Squamish! Having Cloe as our guide truly made all the difference. She broke down complex concepts in a way that was easy to understand, making the theoretical day smooth and engaging.
