Fantastic inventory of top shelf running apparel, shoes, and equipment for road and trail. All of the staff are former or current collegiate runners, many with coaching experience or exercise related graduate education. All of the staff that I have encountered are highly knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to.

Had a great experience getting set up with a fresh pair of shoes, 10/10 would recommend. Wanted to give a shout out to employee Ethan— listened to all my preferences, brought out several shoes for me to try, and was able to give me all the info I was looking for without being over the top. Definitely the place to go in Boone if you’re looking to get fit for running shoes

I love supporting local businesses and Mountain Running Company is one of the best in Boone! I highly recommend purchasing your running shoes through them. I have been buying my tennis shoes from this company for the last few years. They are all very knowledgeable, helpful and patient. 10/10 would recommend!
