I am a nurse not a runner. Last year (2025) I bought my first pair of Brooks Glycerin shoes from Mountain Running Company after years of wearing basic Asics and New Balance. I was going to give Hokas a try, but I left with Brooks, a better shoe for me. I am so glad I did not try to order shoes from a random online company. I had such a wonderful experience with Lauren! I ordered a pair of Asics online, but she found it had a cosmetic defect, so she let me know and swapped it out for no extra charge to a newer version of the same shoes! I would definitely order my next pair of running shoes from them in the future because of the awesome customer service
My boyfriend and I went here to get our first pair of running shoes. We went in not really knowing what to look for and the person working up front was super helpful! He gave us some great recommendations and helped us find the right size! I would highly recommend this store to anyone in the area looking for a new pair of running/hiking shoes. We will definitely be back!

Thanks for the great service. I contacted the Boone store couple days ago from Pennsylvania to learn if Topo Mt. Racer 3 shoes were in stock. A guy called back within a couple minutes with confirmation that the shoes were in the store (could have been CB ?). Good work. Good service. I have not been to Boone, NC since Helene (I tried to help), but hope to get back soon. I definitely recommend Mountain Running Company.
