I had my first visit with Dr Roberts today. The primary care doctor I’ve had since I was 5 years old suddenly retired. I’m 36 now and found myself needing to find a new doctor for the first time, which is a process I wouldn’t wish on anybody. I am impressed with how kind, soft spoken and knowledgeable Dr Roberts is. I’ve had ongoing issues with this doctor dismissing my concerns and failing to follow through on basic things like sending paperwork, which has caused delays in my care. At my most recent visit, he suddenly became uncomfortable and evasive when I asked direct questions about my treatment, and the conversation shifted in a way that made me feel singled out and blamed. The 5 star rating is deceiving unfortunately. I was very excited to move to this provider given the ratings. I went in for my appointment today and they told me my Insurance was invalid. When I told them I just used my insurance yesterday they switched their story and said my plan wasn’t covered most likely and I need to check with insurance.
