I used Mountain Reservations for our family ski trip over Christmas 2014. Due to misleading statements and lack of detail they cost us a lot of money. I had an $850 trip insurance that I never saw proof of buying but was charged for. We cannot get our money back for ski lift tickets on one of our members that could not go - was under assumption from company that "everything" was covered in case a member couldn't go on trip. This company adds various amenities to the room description and when you arrive they are different. Their answer is that the inert of the condo made changes without communicating it to mountain reservations. In the end they say sorry, we Will offer a small decrease in price but you're stuck with a product you didn't sign up for. Haven't dealt with anything this ridiculous in a while. Use a local company and bypass this broker.
This company is also owned by VacationRoost, they are the worst!!! Trying to get a refund for a trip that was cancelled due to road closure... They will not refund it, nor does the Vacation Insurance Company Vacation Guard want to refund either. We are out $1000 for a 2 day trip we did not use. DO NOT USE THEM!!! GO local!!
