Today will be the last time I make a donation. I pull up to the donation area and the doors are closed. I go ahead and put 6/7 bags of donations in a wheeled cart outside the doors. I start walking back to my car when a worker comes out and asks me why I put the donations in the trash. This bin looks similar to all the other donation bins at other charities. The Mountain Mission has been helping people for at least 35 years, when I was a kid we used to go to the old thrift store that was in the warehouse next door over on the south side. I wish I had some pictures of that place, it was full of furniture and toys and clothes all those years ago and the people that ran the place always took care of the community anyway they could. I don't live there anymore but would support the store if I were local!
