The merger of Cabell, St. Marys, and HIMG has ruined the tristate’s quality of healthcare. It’s not about the patient anymore it’s about the money. Marshall Health owns all facilities but charge a facility fee. Why? The doctors are rude/narcissistic and never want to listen to you. No wonder malpractice insurance is so high. I had a procedure on May 1,2024 in the Surgery Center. I want to compliment the entire team. From the lady at the front desk that checked me in at 7:30am to the entire nursing staff. I had exceptional care! I’m a retired nurse so I know what good care is. The procedure couldn’t be completed.The team in the OR intervened on my behalf. I was so unnerved. Really appreciated the care that Marshall Health Network gave my mom. Top notch docs across the board. Lucky to have a good health system so close to home.
In the past 6 months I have had two surgeries performed at Cabell Huntington Hospital. I chose to travel from the Eastern side of WV nearly 4 hrs due to family and friends recommendations. One procedure was by choice and the other necessity. In both cases I received the most amazing care and compassion from each staff member I interacted with.
