I had a very bad experience with mountain goat garage in the spring . It was recommended to me by a colleague but I will never ever go back and am still angry. They initially replaced my battery which was fine. I then booked it in for what I explicitly asked for was a pre-mot check. They proceeded to carry out the mot and failed my car and charged me £400 for this which included some parts but most of which was labour at £245 . I had a terrible experience with Mountain Goat Garage. Over two weeks, they repeatedly misdiagnosed my car, caused additional damage, and left me with more problems than I started with. They first claimed the issue was the third-party immobilizer, made me wait days for an auto electrician, who confirmed there was nothing wrong with it. Thanks very much for fitting us in to check an engine warning light on our campervan that came on travelling to Windermere. The diagnostic scan showed nothing serious on the read out and we were able to continue our holiday without worrying about breaking down or damaging the engine. Mountain Goat Garage literally came to our rescue today whilst on our family holidays. Having been badly let down by the RAC we found that we faced a £550 bill to recover our son's car from Windermere to Manchester. Calling in to Mountain Goat they arranged to get the spare parts in that lunchtime and had the vehicle revovered to their garage and fixed within 3 hours. Car developed worrying noises when steering, halfway through our week long Lakes holiday. Rang these guys on the strength of the great google reviews and they told me to drop it off 8.30am the next day and they'd sneak it in. Few hours later they rang me with the diagnosis.
