I can see why you have less than 3 stars. I'm surprised you have that many. And that little chihuahua you have working at the front desk is apparently suffering from the short girl syndrome. She is in definite need of training, because she certainly lacks customer service skills. How very unempathetic she is. However, it's probably a trickle down effect. DO BETTER, Mountain Electric!

I've been in shady for 6 years and this past year and a half the power goes out like every week. I did ele for a living and never seen power out this much. They are bandaiding the problem and not fixing it..The power only goes out after the storm or winds wth. They just get it running ,if u can get in touch with them to report it, but never fully fix it. I understand no one wants to be called into work on a day off, so just fix it the right way so it doesn't keep going out. I soley on power and it's 26 degrees out side so it... read more

Mountain Electric Co-op is at the cutting edge of directing consumers toward renewable green power, not through their dispersed co-generation efforts, but simply because their grid is so notoriously unreliable that it forces customers to figure it out for themselves. I'm currently looking into solar seriously for the first time. I'm not some environmental crusader, but simply someone who wants reliable power.
