Go to infotrack or Global x and pay $50.00 to get a title history search (if there are caveats or mortgagee on the lot…stay clear). These guys have caveats on most lands (ours was in the case of lot 725). They wasted 2 months of our lives and over $3k in non-refundable conveyancing fees. Bought land and just finished building here. Jay was an absolute gem and stand out to deal with. A genuinely lovely person who made the process as easy as possible! The estate looks great, the lots are even and we had no dumping!
Buyers beware! Caveat placed on title but settlement proceeded. Developer has funds but refusing to provide clear title!
Buyers beware. Couldn't settle on the land this week because someone put a caveat on all the lots for our subdivision. The developers owe money to someone apparently... not sure how long that will take.
