They take forever for EVERYTHING waiting over an hour just for some discharge papers
We came in a different entrance since the cab didn’t know where to go, but the security person provided a wheelchair and guided us to the triage desk. We were taken right in and got to see a nurse immediately, got X-rays and saw a doctor within 10 minutes. The medical staff was caring and efficient. The administrative staff was Ok, all things considered. The issue would be more with hospital policy on what payments they can accept. It gets in the way of getting help. That’s a shame. There is no reason this place is empty and runs so slow and incompetent. Had 3 different doctors speak to us which took hours to even get a result on anything, had to get blood drawn TWICE just for them to lose the blood because the nurse ran out on her break and her coworker could not bother to put it in and have it sit at a cart for 2 hours. I unfortunately had to visit Mt Sinai West ER with signs of miscarriage during my visit in New York. Although things did not turn out well for me after leaving the ER, I really appreciated the care and kindness of Dr. Christopher Reverte, Dr. Ryan Renacci, the nurses, the ultrasound tech, and the staff that I met with. The visit lasted for about 5 hours, which I understand was typical for an emergency room. Thank you for all the work you do!
