Please do NOT give birth at Mt. Sinai, especially if you would like to have a vaginal birth. This was my first birth and it was such a traumatic experience and it didn’t need to be. I won’t go into details but all the doctors at that practice use bullying fear based tactics to persuade you into multiple interventions, mostly unnecessary. I don’t know why, probably insurance related but it’s completely unacceptable. Go anywhere else, do not give birth here.
THE WORST. Shocking. I made an appt for a procedure after meeting with a doctor here. No confirmation. No one EVER picks up at the nurses desk. Was on hold for hours over the course of three days. Could get no information on aftercare for procedure. Show up to the appointment and the doctor comes in to tell me there was a mix-up: they don't do the procedure there and need to order it and it couldn't be done that day! The worst experience.
