We brought our 5-month-old baby to Mount Druitt Hospital Emergency Department at around 1:00 a.m. because he had a fever and we were understandably worried. From 1:00 a.m. until 5:00 a.m., a nurse only came to check on him twice. During those four hours, not a single doctor came to assess or examine our baby. After 5 hours, all the patients are still here, no one's home home and no one's fully assessed by doctor. Just the triage(couple of them), and a few X-rays..

Taking them to HCCC, left me in waiting room with Neurotoxicity for over 4+ hours, categorised me as a Mental health patient and falsified documents. disgusting!

Start from the admin to all the way from Nurses and consultant doctor, everyone were extremely helpful, professional and caring. Special thanks to ELLE, Jess and Claudia for going above and beyond helping us out. We couldn’t ask for more.

I recently visited the Mount Druitt Hospital Emergency Department and had a mixed experience overall. The department is open 24/7 and provides essential emergency care, which is great because you know help is always available when it’s needed most.  However, like many busy emergency departments in Western Sydney, wait times can be quite long, especially when the department is crowded, and you’re also prioritised based on condition severity rather than arrival time — which is standard practice in all emergency care.
