Thankyou Hannah - you are a champion! I rang on the Tuesday after Easter with an urgent request for insulin for my dog, Gobbles. My husband and I had to urgently travel interstate due to a family member going into palliative care. I needed the insulin for the extended trip as well as needing leave asap to travel. Dr Sophie has been our beloved vet for over a decade. She has been with us through the loss of a pet, traversed complex medical conditions which are difficult to diagnose, and shown our dogs genuine love and affection every step of the way. Saturday 28 February 2026 we lost our 17 year old boy, Aston. We have been part of the Mount Barker Vet family on Flaxley Road Mount Barker for the past 8 years. Sophie, our vet, is just amazing. She came to our house on 28th and was so caring and respectful not only to us as a family but also to Aston who was just at his time. She explained the process, gave us time and space and when she took Aston she put him on the front seat with her in the car back to the vet.
