Despite this, they are often hired by real estate agencies. Reports and results are typically shared only with property managers and not with the tenants, raising concerns about transparency. This makes it difficult for tenants to know the full extent of any mould issues in their homes if the agency or property manager are not being helpful.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone to hire Mould Men. My agency hired them to do a mould test, however, no testing was actually done. The person that came to inspect didn’t even take any samples of the areas of concern, nor did he inform us on what he was actually doing. Mould Men said they could “confirm there were mould spores in the air” apparently just by looking at the air and not taking any samples , which takes a couple days at a laboratory to test.
