We had Motz till, grade and re-sod our front and back yard. My yard was not managed by the previous owner, so was mainly composed of weeds and areas where trees had been removed but not reseeded. The first red flag should have been when the salesman for Motz said that they didn't need to kill the weeds first - the tilling would take care of that. I took care of the weeds myself. On Aug 31, 2026 I went to Motz Sod Farm at 9:50am to pick up several pieces of sod for a project at home. I was told by the young lady in the office that they haven’t brought any sod over from the sod fields yet but it should be here a little after 10:00 am, I ran a quick errand and arrived back at Motz at 10:10, still no sod, i waited in my truck just outside of the office until 11:15, I went into the office to ask if the sod was coming, the young lady said, they are behind in the field and I don’t know when it will be here... read more
Needed to pick up some sod, called to see if they had any available which they did. Office woman was very polite. Went back the next day & bought more. You load yourself. Product was excellent. Have used their product before & have always been pleased. Good company !!!!!!!
I heard that this place sells dry, well seasoned, ready to burn firewood. I ordered 2 stacks for delivery. It is very difficult to light and it hisses and water foams on the ends of the wood. This was obviously scraped off of the ground after getting wet and is not the DRY, COVERED FIREWOOD THAT THEY ADVERTISE ON THEIR WEBSITE! After 2 emails and a phone call, I still have not heard from anyone regarding a solution. I guess I'll have to call my credit card company and dispute the charge. I bet they will contact me then!
