The dealership wanted to charge me three times the cost for work on my Toyota minivan. I called Motor City Garage for a second opinion. Not only did Motor City Garage charge less, they were completely honest and advised me that the issue didn't exist and no work actually needed to be done! No longer using dealership service. Taking my business to Motor City Garage. Hard enough to find a good mechanic shop, but these guys are also fully transparent, open and honest. Rare find.
A legitimate business that actually cares about the customers they work with. I came in with my back trunk not closing and people kept saying that mechanics charged them an astronomical number to change the latch and so coming here I was on guard and ready to DIY after figuring out the tools needed to fix it. But Jonny, the front desk man, promptly told me the part I got wasn't right AND that my car didn't even need a new part. I just wanted to share a great experience, I had with Motor City, Garage . I live in Charlotte, my daughter, is a college student, in Raleigh and she had something go on with her vehicle! I found this customer on google, I had her car towed to Motor city. They were very thorough on what needed to be done and in my opinion, very reasonable with the price as her car is a Mercedes Benz. Needed a clutch replacement in a bad way in my WRX. The guy that greeted me was understanding of this hopeful that he could get it done quick but didn't make promises. Sure enough they had it done before close, didnt need resuscitation from looking at the bill, and had no skepticism as far as what I was getting for my dollar. Dont wanna set unreal expectations here as many cars take a lot more time to work on these days but the folks at MCG are on it. Thanks!
Had my engine blow on my 2016 Camaro ss and needed to replace it. I knew it would be a pricey and complicated job so I had to make sure I chose the right shop to do it. I went with motor city garage after reading reviews and getting a quote from them. Safe to say I do not regret it at all. They found me a good engine and my car is driving even better than before. I will most definitely be choosing them for future car repairs and maintenance
