Joi does a really great restorative deep massage. She was very thorough- I felt like every muscle group was addressed with detailed attention to the depth it needed to relax. Some areas got more pressure than others and it was all just what each muscle group needed. I even went back the next day for a detailed session releasing my psoas. My hip range of motion is much better after only 40 min of focus on the psoas and hip area and my low back is feeling so much more free. Another long overdue review! Joi is WONDERFUL! She isn't just a massage therapist; she deeply understands the body/mind connection and applies this in her practice. On a whim (and a with very strained back), I found her number. She was able to get me in that day, which was fortunate for me but not necessarily the norm. We recently found Motivity with Joi (thanks to ChatGPT!) and couldn’t be happier! We were specifically looking for someone who could provide massage therapy along with movement and corrective work given our very active lifestyles — and Joi is excellent. She takes the time to really listen, assess what’s going on, and tailor the session to what your body actually needs. I saw Joi a few years ago at a different practice, and she changed my whole outlook on what a massage really should be to truly correct and align the body. Recently, I’ve had a handful of issues that have really slowed me down and I couldn’t wait any longer, I needed to get back to see her.
