I've heard a lot of negative things. And my mom is there currently and they won't let me see her cause she's not dying they said. I have a bad feeling about this hospital. The hospital she was at previously claimed she had blood clots even though her blood work was good. What type of idiots do you guys have working for this place? I spent over 4 hours in extreme pain for the PA Amanda Gilbert to refuse to help me even though I have a UTI infection and God knows what else. Do not go to this hospital if you actually want help because you will not get it

They treat you as family
I had an unexpected surgery. It was emotional for my husband and I and something we had not expected and came with only 2 days planning. With COVID in the picture and feeling very alone because family could not be inside the hospital at all.The staff was amazing. Kind! Compassionate! Gentle and patient hands. Everyone of them. I have had surgeries other places....but this was the best experience for the worst of times. i will only go back to Morton Plant from now on. not to mention the facility was SO clean. My mother had a knee replacement July 9 2020 which included an overnight stay. She fell July 11 2020 in the early morning and broke her wrist and was transported back to Morton Plant. Not one nurse or case manager bothered to call any family members during her 3 day stay. I called daily for her progress. I found out my mother was being discharged from my mother at 4:30 pm telling me to pick her up at 5. No one called myself nor my father to advise us that she would be discharged. Dr Totah was the worst neurologist I’ve even had. He scared me with talking about a possible brain stem stroke and then didn’t get an mri for over 24 hours. I’ve never been treated so poorly in my life. He also stated my brain tumor is gone because your radiology team failed to mention it in their report. He is grossly mistaken and should be reprimanded for his statement. I requested a transfer to TGH to my brain surgery team and was refused.
