Went to Dr. Teich a Clinical Ecologist aka for an allergy to fumes of magic markers & rubber cement. Forms filled out included a waiver stating Teich was doing "dangerous clinical experiments that could be harmful perhaps fatal". Teich claimed I had a "masked" allergy to formaldehyde & tincture injections & sublingual drops of formaldehyde would increase tolerance to markers, describing it as "absolutely safe” and “formaldehyde as a non-toxic substance". As a result of this treatment I became sensitized to formaldehyde the m... read more
Dr Teich is an excellent doctor. He has been my allergist for 30 years. Under his care my quality of life has increased exponentially as I have learned how to manage my allergies.
I went to Dr. Teich a Clinical Ecologist aka. "Environmental Medicine" MD regarding an allergy to fumes from permanent magic markers and rubber cement. Forms filled out included a waiver stating Teich was doing "dangerous clinical experiments that could be harmful perhaps fatal". Teich claimed I had a "masked" allergy to formaldehyde stating he couldn’t treat the chemical sensitivity to markers but by treating me with formaldehyde using "provocative neutralization” he claimed my tolerance to markers would be improved. I've had an autoimmune issue+many allergies for several years. I lived in Manhattan a short time, and Dr. Teich was one of the first doctors I'd seen. Under his care, my health turned around and I was able to get pregnant. I left NY and over the years have seen MANY top physicians....both conventional and integrative. In retrospect, Dr. Teich was the only one who "got it right". I think both his original diagnosis and his treatment protocol were the correct ones. An excellent doctor.
Dr. Teich was the 4th allergist I went to (the first 3 told me I was cured, and I left their offices bewildered as to why I felt the same way as when I went in years before), and he will be the last. I have had the extraordinary luck to have been his patient for 25 years and, if I outlive him (which might be likely given our age range), I'll muddle along without a new allergist. Dr. Teich could never be replaced; he is one of a kind - the very best kind.
I am really surprised that A doctor with this "experience" could diagnose my son with "Autism" just by looking at him. He never ran a test, never talked to the kid, or even read the report that was written by his associate who saw the kid a week earlier who said:"no signs of autism". My son is 4 yrs old now and thank god he is ok. He goes to 4K and talks normally, in a good mental and physical condition. The real doctor said about dr. Teich's diagnosis: "this is not even a theory, it is a bad guess". I will post a comment ev... read more
I don't know how anyone came up with 5 stars for this guy. First of all he insists he know everything and the patient knows nothing. He advocated a sinus surgery that 2 other doctors told me was not warranted could negative effect. On his advice went of the surgury and have repeat sinus infections.
Dr. Teich is a wonderful, caring and brilliant doctor. He diagnosed and cured my daughter when other doctors could not find her problem. He has alleviated my son's allergies and tweaked my thryoid medication so that I have much more energy. He is a rare doctor: one who listens to his patients. BTW, I called the New York State agency that investigates doctors and was told that there are no past or outstanding investigations into Dr. Teich -so the previous poster's comments are not accurate.
Dr. Teich has a dual practice, conventional allergy treatments and clinical ecology. Controlled double blind studies have proven the later procedures to be dangerous and worthless*. Affable in manner (as con men are) he convinced me to undergo treatment consisting of injections and tinctures of formaldehyde and other chemicals. Teich claimed formaldehyde is " a non toxic substance" and "its absolutely save to inject toxic chemicals" (into the skin). The result a permanent sensitivity to air born formaldehyde. I reported this... read more
