We have always rented from Morton & Furbish, starting with my parents at Rangeley Manor back in the 90s. We have been long time renters in the summer on Rangeley Lake & they’re always efficient & keep rentals clean. Just rented this past Labor Day weekend at camp Niboban, another great family getaway. Our camp had a nice ramp for our senior pup which makes it so easy for him to enjoy a getaway with us still.
Poets Lodge is a wonderful location to enjoy days in the sun on the large grassy lawn or you can jump right into the lake for an invigorating swim. The camp is comfortable with a warm rustic character and a working antique stove/oven. The nice screened porch that faces the lake is a perfect spot to enjoy the breeze while watching the sunset. There is also generous room for parking. Being so close to Haines Landing and the OG makes grabbing a sandwich then putting your boat in the water really easy.
Whispering Winds is a lovely cottage far enough away from Rangely proper to be in the woods and close enough to get to town in just a couple of minutes. You can also walk to town in about 20 minutes. Morton & Furbish are amazing to rent from - attentive & caring folks with clear expectations and check-in/check-out instructions. I'd rent this cabin directly from Morton & Furbish again. We just finished our 31st summer at Saddleback Lake, always in cabins managed by Morton & Forbush. They are very professional, responsive, and efficient. We look forward to more summers there and the support of the M&F team.
