Used to like this store. Even though it’s RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. But they’ve now started to take people’s bags once they enter the store. This practice is absolutely rooted in racism. Because if you catch people stealing, why can’t your security stop them? I saw them take the backpack of an old woman. You’re telling me that if she was stealing you all wouldn’t be able to stop her?? The security is clearly useless. After 20 years will be making another store as a go to fruit store. I was denied entry, as I had a large purse with all my stuff AND apparentlyI look like a thief. Even told the guy he can check my bag upon exit. No can't do was told. If I am going to be treated like a thief after 20 years, it is a time for a new store. Instead of checking who walks in, they target regular customers. NEVER AGAIN.

Used to love this place. Consistently inflates it's prices but that is typical for the area. However, recently learned that they bag checked my 70 year old father on his way into the store. I don't go to grocery stores that keep security guards on staff to harass elders. I don't support grocery stores that don't allow you to bring a backpack. We have a bag tax in this city after all. It is a bad look and a lousy way to treat loyal customers 10+ years. Never going here again. Devon was always better anyway.
