This is the only place we will stay in Alexandria/DC area. The rooms are clean and spacious, the common areas are fun with a good selection of books and the food is INCREDIBLE. Both times we have stayed have been fabulous thanks in huge part to the wonderful staff, from the valet to the bar to the front desk (special shout out to Monique!). The location is extremely walkable in Old Town and it is easy to get anywhere you need without being right ON King Street.
Well run, Marriott affiliated small boutique hotel in old town, in walking distance to the waterfront. Very dog friendly, reasonable fee. Cool little bar/restaurant hidden behind the lobby bookshelf. Cozy spaces to sit in the lobby by a fireplace. Bed was comfortable, and bathroom had nice finishings. Did all the basics well. Would stay again!
Great small historic hotel in down town Alexandria. My room is cozy, comfortable bed, and a nice sitting area in a corner location. Definitely back again once I come back this area. Thank you
Perfect location for walking around and shopping, close to everything. The staff here are excellent, especially Sam at the front desk. The bar is great also. The room was a little small, but very clean and quiet. I would definitely come here again on future visits.
We recently stayed one night at Morrison House. The main reason I am writing this review is because my experience was very different from another recent review. A recent review complained about their room being "old, basic, and rundown". We did not have that experience. Our room was recently updated with modern amenities like an electric fireplace.
