The smell of ground cumin and various other spice would carry quite a distance, the building is a beautiful example of a Brooklyn brick factory with cobble stone interior docking bays, remnants of mid 20th century decor ordained by complex graffiti wall pieces. Still hidden in parts are ornate wood mountings, steel accents and original glass.
Backing a 18 wheeler into that dock was always a squeeze for my daddy. But he couldn’t wait to put that truck in park and fellowship with a wonderful family. Thank you always letting us carry that smell all the way home. I miss it 🌶
