For the past 6 years or so, I have taken my kids to this beautiful park. Morningside Park is one of those places where it’s all about the kids. Its an experience to hear new strangers who is for the first time recovering Morningside Park for the first time. Two white mothers, who moved from downtown, said “ I can’t believe this is Harlem and my kids just love it up here. It’s beautiful and my kids can experience other cultures.” I have also done photo shoots in this park with no problems
While this park has many steep stairs, the bottom can be self contained and enjoyable by itself. There are plenty of playgrounds/ baseball fields/ walls for tennis. Above the stairs is an enjoyable view over the city. There's another layer of stairs to the edge of the park which provides additional sights over the city. There's a bit of mold/ moss on the public benches - otherwise it's a short block from north Central Park to extend a walk
