Spent most of Saturday morning here capturing the Spanish moss draping over those massive oak trees - the light filtering through around 8am was absolutely perfect for landscape shots. The park is beautifully maintained and the paths are wide enough that you don't feel crowded even though there were quite a few people around. There's a nice mix of open green space and shaded areas, which gave me plenty of composition options. Would definitely come back, though the afternoon heat drove us out earlier than expected.
Very nice park. Relaxing and well kept.
Came for a picnic Saturday afternoon. Shade is limited near the open grass so bring a hat. Tennis courts looked decent. Easy parking on weekdays; weekends fill up the side streets.
Morningside Park is great for outdoor activities. The picnic 🧺 is fantastic in this park during the summer.
