My mom was in this facility and is now moving out due to the complete lack of care provided, especially considering the cost. For over $6,000 a month, you would expect a certain standard of service they claim to provide—but that could not be further from reality. My mom entered with dementia that was still mild; she was independent and did not need memory care. We paid for a room, cleaning service, and medication dispensing. Our family was very pleased with the care and concern our mother received at Morningside. She arrived after a lengthy hospital stay, and the staff worked hard to get her back on her feet. She participated in all the scheduled actvities. Like any community, there are hiccups. The door was always open for our concerns and we worked through them. She did feel the food choices and service could be improved.
My mother-in-law has been living at Morningside for three months. The facilities are very nice and her room has a door leading out to a nice courtyard. We have two issues that have made this a three star. She complains every day about the food along with all the other women she sits with. This has been brought up numerous times with no resolution. My mother lived at Morningside for 6 months in 2023. During the time she was there, her health declined to the point where she was not eating, dressing or getting out of bed. When I mentioned issues to management, I was told that we should move her if we’re not satisfied. They were not interested in changing or improving.
