This is a wonderful place full of caring and compassionate people. It is always clean and feels comfortable. There is a sense of community because of the wonderful activities that they do every day.
I have always been and will always be against placing loved ones in assisted living or nursing homes. I did not place a loved one here. Sometimes I think silence is more powerful than words but in the interest of those that may be spared from this place I will respond. BE AWARE: The only Medicare Advantage network in which their IN-HOUSE Physical Therapy is recognized is Humana. In-house PT is out-of-network for BCBS and all other Advantage plans on TN's list, so they charge my parent 50%. Response by upper management they are NOT concerned or going to do anything about it.
As an outside provider for this community, I must say Morning Pointe of Powell is a wonderful facility, that truly provides excellent care. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and genuinely cares about both residents and their families. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how welcoming and family-friendly the environment is. When we were searching for a place for dad, Kay was unbelievably helpful. She went above and beyond to accommodate our schedule. Keeping active is important for dad. She shared all of the incredible and innovative activities that you do at the Powell facility. Kay, Kayce and team are a real asset. Morning Pointe Powell is a great place with the BEST people.
