I unfortunately did not get a chance to eat here on this visit, but I love going into the bar area and sit there while having a wonderful drink listening to the piano player. What a great atmosphere, what a gorgeous property this is! The food is by far one of the best places to eat in town!
This was a restaurant we visited while traveling through Palm Desert. As one of the signature dining venues within a luxury hotel resort, I arrived with fairly high expectations. One-of-a-kind atmosphere thanks to the Spanish colonial / California desert meets Moroccan influence as well as most of the staff (HUGE thanks to Magdalena and the Bartender!) My favorite wine selection is their Joseph Drouhin Chorey-Les-Beaune Pinot Noir accompanying short rib followed by Varlona chocolate brûlée However, be prepared to pay $8 for a small basket of bread!
Not new to the desert but our new find! Chef Rene and Sous Chef Tony create delicious meals consistently. Fresh and homemade food is hard to come by but this place has nailed it perfectly. We love the bar atmosphere and the entire staff are very welcoming and remembered us our second time around which made us feel special. We have eaten at Morgan's 10 times. Love the ambience and food. Mother's day tonight was a three Stooges movie of Faux Pas. The server never came to the table for 15 minutes. The drinks came and were wrong. It took 4 attempts to get my salad right. Which was delicious when correct. Server again disappeared. It was neither crowded or busy. Next up my 80 dollar steak NY Steak was cold. They messed up another drink order. COMEDY OF ERRORS. Expensive dinner on mother's day that was continously wrong.
