In finally going through my late Mother’s jewelry I ended up with a number of miscellaneous items (misc. silver and gold pieces), as well as many of her rings, earrings … I brought all items into Morgan, including some of my own jewelry which I purchased many years ago and knew I would never wear again. My overall experience was very positive, and I feel that what I was offered was very fair.

I recently stopped in to get some information on pieces of jewelry that were gifted to me. I went in for an appraisal and to discuss how to go about selling my pieces, if they were worth any value. I was met by a lady who seemed irritated to be helping me and in the long run told me she could give me money to melt down the metals (max $140) but throw away the gemstones. My partner & I went in 1 day to see about getting some of our great grandmothers stones reset for my forever ring. They quoted me $1500-$2500 what another jeweler around the corner quoted me $500-$700 for. While the 2 women who helped me were mostly pleasant, it felt like 2 semi-amateurs giving me an absurd quote for a "pre-existing" setting.
