Moreish was the perfect pit stop for this cozy autumn day in Beacon. Our server was very kind and helpful, atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was superb. The tea came in beautiful and classically British teaware, the fish chips were delicious, bangers and mash were tasty, and the leek soup with the cheesy…dumpling(?) was stellar! Our sticky toffee pudding and banoffee pie were very tasty, with the toffee pudding being the crowd favorite. I can’t recommend this wonderful spot enough!
A solid English spot - I loved the menu and there were several things I could order and be happy with, I’m sure. The soup looked great, I wish I had space for the bangers and mash, but went with the pasty. It was a solid pasty - the crust was made in house and baked from scratch, and it was very much like the Cornish pasties I’ve had in Cornwall! We had a wonderful afternoon tea at Moreish. It was especially fun for my parents to enjoy a traditional afternoon tea experience. The little sandwiches were delicious, and the scones were absolutely yummy. The atmosphere was cozy and comfortable, and the service was warm and friendly. But the real star of the show was the sticky toffee pudding absolutely delicious and the perfect finishing touch! Moreish is a tiny, charming spot with so much character. We had a lovely time and can't wait to return.
Moreish is an authentic British restaurant. I went for afternoon tea first day and come back next day for lunch with Fish & Chip, sausage roll after I saw other customers ordered them. Food is fantastic. My wife and I enjoyed food and the environment. It was the best meals I had at Beacon, NY. Since it is not a large restaurant, restaurant is the recommended.
