I agree with most of the other reviews. We have stayed at many different places on the island. And never have we been expected to clean up so much before we left. There were no extra anythings: Trash bags, sheets, dish soap. The ceiling in the bathroom leaked on us we brushed our teeth. There was quite a big hole in it and has rings around it. I am sure it hadn t started that weekend. We also had several bugs. I told the lady at check out, she said well I am sure that the bug man was just there. There shouldn t be any bugs. ... read more
Truly awful. For 17 years we have rented a beachfront home at Lost Colony for Thanksgiving. We always reserve as we are leaving. This is our children't tradition as we don't have extended family. Just 6 weeks before Thanksgiving, when all other units are taken, Coastline sends us an e-mail swithching us to another complex. They were rude, did not return phone calls. They really were playing games and are ruinging a 17 year traditiona. Shame on them.
if you like spider/palmetto bug infested filthy rentals with a slumlord mentality; beach walker is the place. be a smart consumer; keep looking
Everyone is so nice and the cabin, Foxfire Cove, we stayed in was fantastic. Super clean and comfortable. It was a peaceful and relaxing stay. We wish we could've stayed longer! We'll definitely rent another cabin in the future with these guys.
They have moved to 107 Cut Off Rd, but the phone # is the same. Great place to stay if you need to get away
My fiance and I reserved a house back in October for a beach wedding. We were planning on having an after wedding dinner at the house with close family and friends. We were told three days before the wedding that they moved us to a different house in a confirmation email sent by Coastline. The accomodations and hosts of this GEM of a hotel were a lucky find in Rockaway Beach. We are vendors for a festival held there & are usually looking for something inexpensive to cut down on the travel costs. We were pleasantly surprised at the amenities of this charming family owned Motel. Close to beach access & local shops, clean, comfortable & the little things that add up to so much ie fluffy towels, snacks, washer & dryer in the unit, free wifi etc. Not only affordable but a class act in hospitality! We rented Lost Colony 1 from Coastline for a high price. The house is infested with ants, has peeling paint and sheetrock, the door to the porch is in severe need of repair, there were not enough towels or sheets, the carpeting was full of stickers(burrs), The picutres they show on the website while accurate are misleading. Their rule on trash and cleaning are very strict--for us. Not them. We checked into a dirty unit. The towels and sheets were dirty. The merchant does NOT provide trash bags or laundry soap, yet they expect you to start THEIR towel laundry and take out the trash when you leave. You have to take out the trash on trash day, You have to take out all trash from the unit when you leave, no biggie. We did all this and were charged for NOT doing it.
