I recently swapped out my two 30yo Yanmar 3GM30s in my 46’ sailing cat RanTan. Turned out to be a far more difficult exercise than expected because of the design of the boat and a change by Yanmar. We ended up having to replace the fuel and exhaust systems for various reasons, one of which was because Yanmar switched the heat exchanger and exhaust outlets in the 3GMs from the stbd to port side of the 3YMs, so a simple transplant was not feasible. Not sure what to say. The service has been excellent. You don't get service like this very often
When we arrived in Australia after two years "in the islands" our motor needed an expert. We had to book three months ahead as Moores are so good that everyone wants to use them. But it was worth the wait. Now we are in Langkawi and "needed a bit". Karen told us which bit and shipped it straight to us. She took days. The locals quoted weeks. Moores is obviously the answer if you are "East of Suez".
