I had a new nut installed, the slots were cut way too deep. Relief is set to 0.012 and action is around 5/64ths for the high e and 6/64s for the low e. The top strings are just too impossible to bend because they are so close to the fretboard, despite trying to raise the action as much as possible.
Place is busy, which is good. Owner is friendly. I bought an xlr cable and was priced the same as guitar center. I will be going here to support local small businesses as opposed to guitar center.
My bandmate and I visited to get their somewhat unusual instrument restrung. We had a lot of fun playing around with the moon instruments. The lower gravity makes you sound better too somehow. Watch out for Mooninites of course, but I would recommend Moon Music cause they are out of this world :)
Great little independent shop. Friendly staff without the Box Store Attitude. Gave me a terrific deal on a Taylor acoustic, and set it up perfectly for a very reasonable price. Would definitely use them again.
Good honest people running a shop that has the stuff no one carries (like Rainger FX!) Every visit they treat me well and have something new and interesting. Don't let the size fool you, this is one of Austin's best.
