I had a terrible experience this week at Moods. I was booked in to see Gina, but was notified a few days prior that she was on medical leave. I was re-booked with Ben, and reassured by the front staff that his training was equivalent to Gina’s. Unfortunately this was not the case and I received one of the worst haircuts I’ve ever gotten. I would not recommend this salon for layered cuts. I asked for a butterfly cut, and the result was honestly one of the worst haircuts I’ve had. My hair lost all its volume and shape. Instead of soft, face-framing layers, it looks uneven and flat, like the hair was over-thinned without any real technique behind it. It’s frustrating because a butterfly cut is a very specific style, and this was nowhere close. I didn’t say anything at the time, but I really wish I had. Benjamin is an incredibly talented and versatile stylist/artist. I travelled 4.5 hours from the Okanagan to get my hair done by Benj. He fully took care of me, listened to what I wanted and delivered. I am super super picky. Benj you are superb. So happy you have joined the MOODS team.

I had a great experience at Moods Hair Salon. The ambience and lighting create a relaxing atmosphere that made the whole visit very enjoyable. Shohreh did an amazing job with my highlights, respecting my natural black hair and adding beautiful, fun ashy tones that look natural and stylish. I’m really happy with the result and loved seeing my new hairstyle. Highly recommend! ✨
