Rude and unfeeling
Thank God we went for a second opinion and got treatment at City of Hope. Polonsky wanted to dope up my wife with opiates and send her home to die. 'Would you prefer 2 good years or 4 horrible years.' His only plan of treatment included traditional chemotherapy. Doctors at City of Hope did a liquid biopsy, prescribed a biological medication and she went through a very tolerable round of radiation. worst clinic by far they NEVER answer the phone calls!!!, they keep you on hold forever, never follow up with patients, never summit referrals. I don't understand how an office like this with poor staff ethics is still running LITTERLY. letting their patients die oncology cancer patients is no joke. He has no bedside manner, and lacks the fundamental knowledge of his field. He has no interest in appropriate treatment and instead pushes opiates. Get your care elsewhere.
ZERO RATING.. I DO NOT REFER THIS GUY TO ANYONE!!! Rude, doesn't care about you or your feelings. Answers personal calls while in with us. Alex and front desk never returns calls. Made 55 phone calls from 9am-11:50 am phone Was busy at 11:50 finally the exchange answers and say they went to lunch early, left messages with exchange, no return call. Dr Polonsky was very helpful and caring, addressing my concerns in a professional and humane way. He spent quite a bit of time with me going over my medical problems, and was very attentive.
I was diagnosed in Dec.July 2017 for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. Under Polonsky care I was given no treatments for 5 months.Dec. appt.chose to not act on for another 6 months,my bad, no second opinion.By Apr.2018 excruciating pain in lower back for months.Visited a back surgeon who took MRI and was operated onJuly 5th to my lower vertebrae.Returned to Polonsky a short time and told cancer had spread.Knocked me and my family for a loop,we had a good cry.Appointment on that Thurs. caused a lot of emotional pain beside recouping fr... read more
Monty lacks compassion. Terrible Oncologist- never explains treatment plan/prognosis/diagnosis. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone.
