Fun time digging for fossils. East walk from the parking lot. I recommend bringing something to dig with and something to break open the rocks with.
Really cool stop
Great space for fossil hunting. You could spend a whole day here...the area is that large. Bring a small shovel, a bag for your finds, water/snacks and a blanket. (The rocks are sharp to sit on and in the summer, they get HOT.) If you really want to get into it, bring a magnifying glass and a paint brush (to see and clear the smaller fossils you find). One mile up the road is a museum and a beautiful/flat hiking trail!
