This organization helped me when I needed to get away from a very abusive ex-husband. He ended up stalking me for two years. I had to get an order protection. They helped me get that, I had to move to a hidden location .. they helped me get into the fund that Texas has for victims of crime to pay for the move and rent for the first month of settling in. The students here counseling are not very helpful and because of their lack of training can actually be quite harmful. Took quite a while and seeing a real counselor to realize how damaging some of the things I was told were. Women affected by domestic violence are not something to train your students on. Just another woman's organization that doesn't truly care about women..
Warren is the last name. I waited months on the wait list for counseling for my daughter. I told them from day one we’re not active DV or SA. We finally got our first appointment 1/12, I signed everything again multiple times told them we’re not active DV/SA. I got a call today 1/18 an hour before our appointment to let me know that because we’re not active dv/sa and they have a long wait list they weren’t gonna see us anymore because we’re not ACTIVE dv/sa. This place is a blessing from God. In one of the darkest times in my life leaving a very abusive man they have held my hand through the process and gave me amazing counseling. Definitely the place to donate to.
