About this business
We are a small pet boarding facility located four miles South of downtown Montevallo. Dogs are provided private rooms with outdoor courtyards. Two acitivities are included each day. Cats are provided private rooms with a window and cat tree. (The Cat Cottage is separate from the main dog building.)

We've had our Aussie for 11 years and this is the only place we ever have boarded her. Rebecca and her family are so kind and capable, and our dog is so happy when she sees them. I appreciate that she has a heated/cooled room with a little sling bed and a door that she can go in and out of at will (to her own little run). I especially like that they take her out twice a day on either a walk or to the doggy playground just for exercise. RecommendedWe boarded our 1 year old lab mix here for 5 days and she definitely enjoyed her stay! She is a very timid and shy dog, but was completely comfortable here. She loved Rebecca and didn’t even look back at us after we dropped her off. She ate every meal, which is a big deal for her as she refuses food if she is the least bit stressed. We will definitely board her here again!
Had a great first experience with my two pups here! I love i could shoot Rebecca an e-mail when i wanted to check in and she was quick to respond and seeing my pups playing in her photos made me very happy to see them not missing me at all lol
Montevallo Doghouse has been puppy-sitting for us for more than ten years now! We love them so much and love how they care for our fur babies when we’re out of town. Thank you!

They really take good care of your pets. The owners are very kind and considerate of you and your pets needs.
Our puppy had never been boarded. I called everyday to check on him. Turns out he was just fine. When we picked him up he kept tilting his head looking for Rebecca. ❤️❤️
Highly recommended. Our sweet Sergeant spent 8 days here while we traveled to Washington D.C. The land and boarding rooms are spacious/wonderful. He had his own room with a cot and blanket. The owners are kind and helpful. I had a problem with my email and did not respond to a confirmation email; the owners called me to be sure. I appreciated that; We were allowed to tour the land and Sergeant also got a tour. We received a good report upon picking him up. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.
My dogs love it here! You can tell they remember it here because they get excited when we pull up and they always come back home happy!
