hi!- my real name is NOT Isabel but it is my fake name I use lol, I have to to Walden residential adolescents twice, I last got out on November 5th 2025. my clinician Meghan was okay, and sheeva the NP didn't listen to me at all when I said I wasn't depressed because of weight gain, I was just depressed. the MHC's though are INCREDIBLE I still miss them to this day, I also like the way phone calls work there, you have free access to the phone unlike the other two (non eating disorder) residential I have been in. Feels like a prison, forced recovery shouldnt be a thing especially around other people struggling with eating disorders, others stare at u eating and judge others, talking about body and weight, its simply uncomftorable, others pacing around the halls for hours , after leaving u will 100% relapse , and also to mention it feels like hell, u dont get to use ur phone until specific times and if u are an introvert expect to be sitting in ur room all day bored like ur in a prison cell, the only thing ur good for here is to go to... read more
This place is a complete joke. I didn’t pay attention to all the bad reviews because my wife desperately needed treatment but that’s my own fault. The techs here are very kind and I think they genuinely want to help people get better. The nursing director and clinicians who were in charge at mealtime wouldn’t give her dentures back to eat and wouldn’t give her a shake as she sat and watched everyone else eat.
