I was there back in 2008 prior to them building all of the new buildings. It was good while I was up in the isolated 1st step but eventually graduated down to the old motel in downtown wickenburg. I ended up sneaking out to circle K to buy alcohol and told any staff I didn’t like off. I was immediately kicked out and never given any information about follow up treatments. I had high hopes. It took me almost 2 months to be accepted into this program and I left within 5 days. I went 3 days without food and water. Was anything said? No. I then ran off campus twice and the second time it took someone half an hour to come get me. They simply do not care here and base everything off your height and weight. If you are looking for ACTUAL help do not go here or honestly don’t go to any monte nido facility because from my research they all kind of suck. My experience here at Monte Nido changed my life. I am so thankful that I was able to come and get the care that I needed to heal. The staff here is caring and supportive and the groups gave me great tools that I can use outside of here to continue on my healing journey.
