The RCs and other staff at River Towns were really great at making sure everyone was held accountable. It made me feel safe and taken care of during my time there. If you're struggling with an eating disorder, I would definitely recommend checking out River Towns.
The River Towns program was super comprehensive and made me feel right at home. I absolutely loved the group sessions, especially with Cheryl, and the one-on-one sessions with Moriah were awesome too!!
This facility was unable to help her complete meals (although she had been eating at home previous to admission). Her weight loss in her first week (a pound a day) required her to be sent to emergency room due to a cardiac issue. Staff chose to send her to a very small community hospital (on a Friday night) that DID NOT HAVE cardiologist until day hours. I felt protected and cared for while I was here because the RCs and other staff members were effective at holding people accountable. If you have an ED, I would wholeheartedly recommend River Towns.
