I am concerned about the treatment of patients at this facility. Based on what I witnessed and child experienced, I believe there are serious issues with staff training, professionalism, patient dignity, and safety. Kids are punished by being told to sleep on the floor and were subjected to additional food being added as a form of punishment, referred to as “tally.” Kids were also told that they would be forcibly held down or have a feeding tube placed if they did not comply. I don’t even know where to start. This place was probably the worst treatment center i have ever been to. Everybody was miserable all the time. The “Recovery coaches” (who are our caretakers/support staff) acted like they were being forced to work there. Girls would go to them for support, and open up about our struggles, and the most they could respond to was a half-hearted “Mkay well i’m sorry you feel like that”. My daughter was admitted over a month ago and did not feel safe or cared for at all. She was allowed to call me twice a day for 10 minutes at a time and would hyperventilate on the phone begging me to remove her from the program. This was the loudest i have ever heard her cry. She had so much to tell me about this place. The staff were not considerate at all and the only help they could offer was to give them bags of ice to hold. Worst place run! Lost two kids in a week who left and no idea where they went. Invasion of privacy and not sleeping their room in a bed. Punished with excess food. Inappropriate communication with the kids.
