Alex and his team handled both our new roof and the exterior painting on our Montclair colonial. Having one crew manage multiple projects made everything so much simpler. The coordination was seamless and the end result looks fantastic.
Otherwise known as Alex Contracting (which doesn't seem to be registered - he changed the name because of bad reviews before). Terrible company, don't use them. I warned them I would post a bad review and report them if they didn't honor my roof warranty, but they fobbed me off and ignored me, so here goes. I had my roof replaced with them 5 years ago. Please do not hire Alex contracting/Montclair Roofing. They are THE worst roofer in New Jersey in ALL aspects. I hired Alex and his team back in October 2023 initially for a leak in my roof. He came and gave a consultation, looked at my roof and diagnosed it as bad flashing around the base of the chimney that was causing the problem. He charged us 900 dollars to fix the flashing and fix the leak. He also gave us a 10 year warranty. After the initial "repair" of the flashing, the leak from my roof GOT WORSE. I would recommend staying away from this company!! Montclair Roofing did what I thought was good job on a new roof in 2021. It was a hard job on an old house. However, in the process they set a portion of the roof on fire. Since then, it has become clear that the roof was never repaired correctly in the area of the burn, or has reopened. It has been leaking into a portion of my living room ceiling and wall and the damage has become progressively worse. BEWARE!!! Alex’s team replaced our front porch roof a few years ago. Since then the eaves have given way and the gutter has separated from the house so much so that the roof is now leaking onto the porch. I called him for a gutter repair. He did show up for the appointment and after seeing how much the eaves were sagging, he acknowledged that something was wrong.
