Had a great steak, great service, well worth the stop. Nice upper end restaurant.
Had Thanksgiving dinner there -was fantastic (though I did miss cranberry sauce)! This was my 4th time to dine at the GF Montana Rib & Chop. The menu is pleasant and has a Southern "edginess" that this transplanted Alabama Gulf Coaster appreciates! The R&C's gumbo was the best I've had since leaving the South. Spent $220 on two people for dinner. The drinks were over priced and small, (ceaser was small and tasteless) lobster way over done and rubbery, baseball cut was $42 alone and looked way different than the other one did, discolored, the appetizers were great but for $220 in Montana.. not impressed
This is the most elegant restaurant in Montana. I know what's in every city in Montana, and there's nothing as well done as the Rib & Chop-Great Falls. I would compare the atmosphere to New York, or Chicago. I loved fried green tomatoes for the appetizer. Fried gree tomatoes with balsamic is not frequent in MT. My fillet was perfect medium-rare. Ordered surf-turf and the lobster was spot on and not over cooked. Definitely, a top culinary experience for comparison to anywhere.
