Beware. These people have to be called monthly. Guy always says the payment is on his desk. He's trying to force me into giving them my banking info. I don't want auto pay. I chose to send a check. Therefore that means I send my payment by the 10th for a due date of the 15th. They're holding the payment until he decides it's time to deposit it. That hurts me on my interest and in turn hurts my seller. I don't get principal and they end up paying more taxes, as it looks like I'm late every month. What a scam he's running ther... read more

I was extremely disappointed with Montana Title and Escrow. In addition to a ridiculously high fee for their services, they lack communication, professionalism and had numerous items that needed be corrected. I have worked with several title companies through the years and this was by far the worst experience.

Incompetent, technologically inept, disorganised, unaware of legislative requirements outside MT. This lack of professionalism increased my legal fees and tax exposure significantly.

I bought my house two years ago and used Montana title. For the longest time I was getting mail for someone named Ruben (my name is not Ruben) with my last name. For months I threw that mail away thinking it was scam mail. After about 6 months I thought to call Montana title to see if there was an error on my title. Sure enough, my house was titled under the name Ruben. At closing I must have signed my given name 100 times, nowhere once writing “Ruben”. They acted like it was a casual mistake and they would take care of it. ... read more
