I received fantastic service from Mont. The short story is that having happily used a Mont Helium 600 sleeping bag for many years, I decided to give it a wash. Unfortunately, the down migrated from one of the chest baffles, leaving it empty. Mont estimated that topping up the baffle would be in the range of $150 - $250 (depending on the amount of down used), and that the bag would be ready in about 10 business days. I’ve had my Krypton 4 season tent from Mont for 2 years now and have loved it, been an amazing tent. Yet it has had a leak through the floor seaming somewhere which I haven’t been able to find. And trying to get onto them for the warranty on the product has been a massive hassle. This is so annoying because I love the tent yet can’t use it because of the leak. My experience with Mont has been, good products yet very poor communication.
I own one of the expensive Mont's hiking shirts. Every other time I wash it I loose a button. They just unbundle themselves due to a poor finish of the thread. When you hike you should be able to rely on things not to stich buttons back and look for missing buttons. I lost 3 so far and all from the front. I cant recall in recent years any other casual or business shirt loosing a button.
