Food is good, a little overpriced. Try their rudeness speciality. The owner/workers think this is the only restaurant around. A few times, I went in for pickup, the person behind the counter was not only rude, but thought that he was doing me a favor. Monsoons customer service is one of the worst in the neighborhood.I stopped visiting this place and even cancelled my last order that I tried to place. I was a regular, weekly customer since they opened a few years ago. I use to order on average 2-3 times per week the lunch special to go. Everything was fine. Then a year ago it went down real fast! Yes.. it is all true... the people are VERY rude, it is VERY overpriced and you will pay a lot for bland food. The only thing that is cool about this place is the inside. I recently visited this resturant and it was a horrible experience. we had ordered bhel puri and we got the order which was done before we ordered!!!!. I saw some bhel puris done and was on the counter. With in less than 30seconds of our order the guy brought the same old prepared bhel puris. We had to sent this back and asked for a freh one but was too sour, spicy and a horrible taste. I was there a few weeks ago. The place is set up like a fast food restaurant and the orders are placed at the counter. Everything is self service. Plenty of place was available to sit. The place looked clean. I ordered Masala Dosa from the Menu,but was told not available. Then I selected Chole Bhaturu. The food was OK, but not great. The Bhature was not cooked well and was oily. For the quality of food and self service, it is a bit pricy and I decided that I will not go there again.

The Idly sambar is simply great.This is the a restaurant where you actually get authentic sambar and idly, and alam chutney(red paste).In other restaurants they fool you by serving tomato chutney which is also red in color.The sambar is the best ive ever had in US.I have personally been to almost 375 restaurants in the tristate altogether and I give a 4.75 rating to this restaurnat. ALso tried n loved, chilly paneer, manchurian(dry), chicken dosa(was so-so, but worth a try).
